Since 1951, Biddy Basketball has been teaching both boys and girls the skills and fundamentals of basketball. Instituting the concepts of an imposed height limit, shorter goals and a smaller ball made the game of basketball competitive for younger players.

We love what Firmin Simms, President, Biddy Basketball has to say:

“The Greek poet Menander once said:
‘Children should be led into the right paths, not by severity, but by persuasion.’
This is a primary goal of the Biddy Basketball program. Our hope is to have our young athletes participate in healthy, high-spirited, and competitive games.  Additionally, we hope to instill in all our youngsters a sincere desire to develop a feeling of citizenship, sportsmanship, loyalty, team spirit, and self-pride.”

We are happy to make a donation our local 9 & 10 year old All-Star Biddy Basketball team to help defer the cost of travel, lodging and food as they prepare to travel to Madisonville for a National Tournament. The tournament will be held March 27th-April 1st.
